This coin pays tribute to important figures of ancient Egypt. The 2023 edition honors the creator of a world wonder whose impressive work continues to inspire admiration today. Khufu, also known by his Greek name Khufu, was the second pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty and reigned in the 3rd millennium BC. Almost immediately after taking office, he began monumental work on the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is estimated to have taken over 20 years to build and remained the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years.
